Law money 06

CHICAGO — A passenger is suing Midwest Airlines' Terminal Consortium, Southwest Airlines, Professional Business Providers Inc. and the City of Chicago, alleging negligence in connection with an injury she suffered while leaving an airplane at Midway Airport.

Alpatricia Crosby Haith filed a complaint on Aug. 18 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants, alleging that they failed to provide plaintiff a safe and stable platform to use while exiting the airplane.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Aug. 20, 2015, she sustained physical injuries due to a gap between the jet bridge and the fuselage of the airplane. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because they allegedly failed to provide a safe platform and failed to provide adequate warning to her regarding the unsafe gap between the jet bridge and the airplane fuselage.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants for more than $50,000. She is represented by Sidney Abelski of Abelski & Associates, Ltd. in Chicago.
