CHICAGO — A woman is suing several health care providers in connection with an alleged delay in treating her cancer.

Linda Salvino filed a complaint on Sept. 12 in Cook County Circuit Court against David Dreyfuss, Plastic Surgery Specialists of Illinois S.C., Advocate South Suburban Hospital, Diversified Clinical Services Inc., Tara Sakevich, and Foot & Ankle Associates Ltd., alleging that they failed to provide her with proper medical care.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in 2009, malignant melanoma cancer in her left heel was not diagnosed and treated, allowing the cancer to spread. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because they allegedly failed to properly evaluate her condition and provide the appropriate treatment in a timely manner to avoid further complications.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount greater than $75,000 plus court costs. She is represented by Randall F. Peters of Randall F. Peter & Associates in Chicago.
