CHICAGO — A man who had a job delivering food products is suing a restaurant operation over alleged liability for injuries he suffered.

Shanin Khoshaba filed a complaint on Sept. 28 in Cook County Circuit Court against Southport Grill LLC which does business as Crosby's Kitchen, and other affiliated corporate entities, alleging that the property owners negligently took insufficient measures to prevent injury by failing to keep a stairway free of obstructions.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Nov. 7, 2014, he sustained physical injuries when he fell down a stairway with his cart. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for the alleged unsafe conditions and failure to warn.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount greater than $50,000 plus court costs. He is represented by Melanie K. Fairman of Seidman Margulis & Fairman, LLP in Chicago.
