CHICAGO — A patient who had a heart attack after surgery claims he was taken off anticoagulant medicine too far in advance of the surgery and was improperly cleared for the procedure.

Terry Good filed a complaint on Sept. 30, in Cook County Circuit Court against NorthShore University Healthsystem Glenbrook Hospital; two physicians, identified as Dr. Thomas A. Mayer and Dr. David Jeremy Davidson; and the NorthShore Medical Group, alleging medical negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he suffered a heart attack as a result of the defendants' actions. He holds the defendants responsible because they allegedly failed to properly evaluate his condition prior to the procedure and cleared him for surgery.
