CHICAGO — A part-owner of an ice cream company, represented by his two sons, is suing lawyer David V. Najarian and his firm Najarian & Najarian, citing alleged breach of duty and negligence.
Stephen G. Poulos, through sons Craig Poulos and Todd Poulos, filed a complaint on Sept. 30 in the Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants, alleging that they failed to properly advise the plaintiff regarding the execution of an agreement at a time when he was suffering cognitive impairment.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he lost financial benefits which he was supposed to receive from being the one-third owner of Homer's Ice Cream Inc. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly assisting in the forging of his signature or inducing him to sign the agreement when he was cognitively impaired.
The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants plus interest and any further relief the court grants. He is represented by Peter M. Spingola, Shannon T. Knight and Tanya K. Solis of Chapman Spingola, LLP in Chicago.
