CHICAGO — A patient is suing Saint Anthony Hospital, a Highland Park CVS Pharmacy, and medical professionals, identified as Winnie Yuen, RPH, and Asma Khatoon, D.O., alleging they allowed him to poison himself by ingesting too many acetaminophen painkillers.

Luis Cabanas filed a complaint on Oct. 3 in the Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants, alleging that they failed to provide him with proper care.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he suffered harm from being poisoned, because they allegedly allowed him to ingest acetaminophen at a rate that resulted in poisoning.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount greater than $50,000 plus court costs. He is represented by Cole H. Munvez of Brustin & Lunblad, Ltd. in Chicago.
