CHICAGO — A Chicago police officer is suing the City of Chicago and fellow officers, citing alleged retaliation for exposing purported illegal activity.
Jaeho Jung filed a complaint on Oct. 11 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants, alleging that they removed the plaintiff from the tactical team and ridiculed him for exposing their illegal activity.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he experienced emotional distress and has been denied job opportunities. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because they allegedly retaliated against him for exposing that a fellow officer had generated false reports and radio traffic communications without any legal basis, and ran license plate checks on innocent civilians without legal grounds.
The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants plus any further relief the court grants. He is represented by The Blake Horwitz Law Firm, Ltd. in Chicago.
