Cardiac Surgery Associates, others accused of negligence in coronary bypass

CHICAGO — A woman is suing Waukegan Illinois Hospital Company, which does business as Vista Medical Center East, Cardiac Surgery Associates, and a doctor, identified as Omid Hajiseyedjavadi, alleging they did not provide proper treatment for her coronary bypass procedure.

Janet Carlson filed a complaint on Oct. 11 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants, alleging that they failed to provide her with proper medical care.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she suffered physical injuries as a result of negligence in connection with coronary bypass surgery. She holds the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to properly evaluate her overall health condition and to apply the necessary treatment in order to avoid further complications.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount greater than $100,000. She is represented by Mark P. Munninghoff of Munday & Nathan in Chicago.
