CHICAGO — An administrator of a deceased man's estate is suing Bria of River Oaks, alleging negligence in nursing home care.

Jessie Harden, independent administrator of the estate of Ambrose Fields, filed a complaint on Oct. 17 in Cook County Circuit Court against River Oaks Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center LLC, which does business as Bria of River Oaks, alleging that the nursing home failed to provide proper care to Fields.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that Fields suffered from the development of pressure ulcers and a urinary tract infection. The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible for allegedly failing to recognize the signs of a urinary tract infection and failing to address the development of pressure ulcers.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount greater than $50,000 plus court costs. She is represented by David G. Pribyl of Dudley and Lake LLC in Libertyville.
