CHICAGO — An administrator of a deceased woman's estate has filed a wrongful death claim against Windmill Nursing Pavilion, alleging negligence in nursing home care.

Maxine Jackson, as independent administrator of the estate of Annie Beasley, filed a complaint on Oct. 14 in Cook County Circuit Court against Windmill Nursing Pavilion Ltd., d/b/a Windmill Nursing Pavilion, alleging that the nursing facility failed to provide proper medical care to Beasley.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that Beasley suffered the effects of multiple falls, pressure ulcers and dehydration, contributing to her death. The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible for allegedly failing to implement a care plan to properly address Beasley's risk of falls and to provide adequate supervision.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount greater than $50,000. She is represented by Kristen N. Koeller of The Law Offices of Steven J. Malman & Associates, P.C. in Chicago.
