Concert attendee alleges she was injured when Lupe Fiasco fell on her from stage

CHICAGO – A woman alleges she was injured at a Lupe Fiasco concert in Chicago's Marquette Park when Fiasco jumped off the stage and landed on her.

Kauthar Umar filed a complaint on Oct. 21 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Wasalu Muhammad Jaco, also known as Lupe Fiasco, and 1st & 15th Productions Inc. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in June 2007, she sustained physical injuries when Fiasco landed on her. The plaintiff holds Wasalu Muhammad Jaco and 1st & 15th Productions Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly carelessly and negligently jumped off the stage without giving warning.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount of more than $50,000. She is represented by Sharon A. Kobrin of Munday & Nathan in Chicago.
