Woman alleges Alden of Waterford did not prevent falls

Medical malpractice 01

CHICAGO – A former resident at an Aurora long-term nursing care facility claims she was not provided proper care.

Teresa Tyminski filed a complaint on Oct. 21 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Alden of Waterford; Alden Management Services Inc.; and the Alden Group Ltd., citing the Nursing Home Care Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she experienced pain from suffering multiple falls in 2014, which caused hip fracture and facial contusions, while under the defendants' care. The plaintiff holds Alden of Waterford responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to provide adequate supervision to plaintiff in order to address her risk of falling.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount of more than $50,000 plus court costs. She is represented by Jason M. Kellerman of The Law Offices of Steven J. Malman & Associates PC in Chicago.
