Slip02

CHICAGO — A man is suing Chicago Department of Aviation, The Hertz Corp., City of Chicago, and John Doe Corporation, John Doe, property owners, citing alleged insufficient measures were taken to prevent injuries when he tripped over traffic spikes in the roadway.

Jeff Davis filed a complaint on Nov. 17 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants alleging that they failed to properly light the street where the plaintiff was walking.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that, in March 2014, he sustained physical injuries when he tripped over the traffic spikes, about which the defendants allegedly did not warn.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks medical expenses, loss of income, judgment in an amount greater than $100,000, court costs and any further relief this court grants. He is represented by Samuel Shim of Sang Shim in Rolling Meadows.
