CHICAGO — A deceased man's family has filed a wrongful death claim against Forest Edge Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center LLC and Bria Health Services of Forest Edge, alleging negligence in nursing home care.
Earline Marks, as special administrator of the estate of James Marks, filed a complaint on Dec. 15 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants, alleging that they failed to provide proper care to James Marks.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges Marks suffered a fall that contributed to his death, after the defendants allegedly failed to provide adequate supervision to Marks to address his risk of falling.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount greater than $50,000. She is represented by Brian J. Holmes of Hurley McKenna & Mertz, P.C. in Chicago.
