CHICAGO — A former resident of Lexington Health Care Center of La Grange is suing the care facility, alleging negligence in nursing home care.
Joan Repel filed a complaint on Dec. 22 in Cook County Circuit Court against Lexington, alleging the nursing home should be held responsible for a fall she suffered in which she suffered hypoxia, unresponsiveness, a head laceration and significant blood loss. The plaintiff alleged Lexington failed to provide sufficient supervision and assistance to her to address her risk of falling.
The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount greater than $50,000 plus court costs and any further relief this court grants. She is represented by Gregory J. Lamorena of Karlin, Fleisher & Falkenberg, LLC in Chicago.
