CHICAGO — A Georgia man is suing several drug makers for alleged design defect, insufficient measures taken to prevent injuries, liability and negligence for injuries he suffered while taking testosterone drugs.
Endo Pharmaceuticals Inc., Auxillium Pharmaceuticals Inc., GlaxoSmithKline LLC, Eli Lily and Company, Lilly USA LLC, Acrux Commercial Pty Ltd. and Acrux DDS Pty Ltd. are defendants in the suit.
Johnny Hall filed a lawsuit on March 2 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois alleging the defendants manufactured a product that injured him.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges he suffered injuries, including deep vein thrombosis. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to warn him of the potential harmful effects of taking their testosterone replacement therapy product.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages. He is represented by Spencer P. Browne of Reyes Browne Reilley in Dallas.
