Bed Bath & Beyond allegedly maintained defective shelving display

CHICAGO — A customer is suing Bed Bath & Beyond Inc. for allegedly taking insufficient measures to prevent him from falling and injuring himself while reaching for a pillow on a shelving display.

John Fritz Konstantelos filed a lawsuit on March 29 in Cook County Circuit Court alleging the defendant failed to properly maintain the display.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges he sustained physical injuries on March 21, 2017, when a defective shelving display caused him to fall on the ground. The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible for allegedly failing to warn him of the defective nature of the display.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount greater than $50,000. He is represented by Richard L. Pullano and Mathew T. Siporin of Pullano Law Offices in Chicago.
