CHICAGO — The administrator of an estate is suing Harshad M. Mehta M.D., Shola Aluko M.D. and Little Company of Mary Hospital and Health Care Centers, alleging negligence for prematurely discharging a patient who soon after suffered a fatal cardiac event.

Donna Cypser, individually and as special administratrix of the estate of John Cypser, filed a complaint on May 10 in the Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants alleging that they failed to provide proper medical care to John Cypser.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that, after is discharge, John Cypser sustained serious physical injuries which contributed to the deterioration of his health. The plaintiff holds Little Company of Mary Hospital and Health Care Centers and the two defendant doctors responsible because the defendants allegedly prematurely discharged John Cypser from their care on May 11, 2015, which caused him to experience a fatal cardiac arrhythmia four days later.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount that exceeds the jurisdictional limits of this court plus court costs. She is represented by Randall F. Peters of Randall F. Peters & Associates in Chicago.
