CHICAGO — A family member is suing Glenbridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Centre and Warren Barr North Shore, claiming the facility was negligent in allowing a former patient there to suffer from bedsores.

Mary Miller, as daughter and independent administrator of the estate of Johnnie Miller Jr., filed a complaint on June 1 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants alleging they failed to provide proper medical care to Johnnie Miller.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges Miller developed pressure sores after the defendants allegedly failed to provide adequate supervision and assistance to Miller to prevent the development of pressure sores.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount greater than $50,000 plus court costs. She is represented by Matthew K. Henry of the Law Offices of Steven J. Malman & Associates P.C. in Chicago.
