Woman says Northwestern Medical, doctor failed to prescribe anti-seizure drug

Medical malpractice 05

CHICAGO — A woman is suing James Chandler M.D.; Northwestern Medical Group; and Radford Green at Sedgebrook, alleging negligence for failing to prescribe a necessary drug.

Linda Jacoby filed a complaint on June 15 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants alleging she suffered a five-minute grand mal seizure while in the defendants' care. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because they allegedly failed to prescribe an anti-seizure medication to the plaintiff.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount that exceeds the jurisdictional limits of this court. She is represented by Michael L. Teich and Brian D. Teven of Anesi, Ozmon, Rodin, Novak & Kohen Ltd. in Chicago.
