Woman accuses Walmart of not cleaning up slippery substance, causing her to fall

Slip01

CHICAGO — A woman is suing Walmart Stores Inc. and several unidentified companies for allegedly taking insufficient measures to prevent injuries and alleged liability and negligence.

Pamela Tischert filed a complaint on July 10 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging she was physically injured when she slipped and fell on a substance left on the floor of a Walmart store. The lawsuit, however, did not specify what injuries the plaintiff allegedly sustained.

The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to remove the slippery substance on the floor of its store.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount greater than $50,000 plus court costs. She is represented by attorney Mark Whiteside, of Chicago.
