Warren Barr South Loop allegedly failed to prevent patient from getting a urinary tract infection

Medical malpractice 02

CHICAGO — A man is suing Warren Barr South Loop, Maplewood Care and three nurses for alleged negligence.

Randy Vaughn, independent administrator of the estate of Lynette Stalling, filed a complaint on Nov. 2 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging Stalling suffered a urinary tract infection and dehydration while in the defendants' care. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to diagnose Stalling's condition to prevent her from getting a UTI and for allegedly failing to make sure she was always properly hydrated.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount that exceeds the jurisdictional limits of this court for losses and damages and any further relief this court grants.
