Symphony of Morgan Park, others allegedly failed to prevent patient from falling

CHICAGO — A woman is suing Symphony of Morgan Park, Nucare Services Corp., Maestro Consulting Services LLC, and two nurses for alleged negligence.

Margaret Varela, independent administrator of the estate of William Levier, filed a complaint on Nov. 2 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging Levier fell, which allegedly caused him to fracture his right hip and allegedly contributed to the deterioration of his overall health. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to adequately supervise Levier to address his risk of falling.

The plaintiffs seek judgment against the defendants in an amount greater than $50,000. She is represented by Susan L. Novosad and Colleen Mixan of Levin & Perconti in Chicago.
