CHICAGO — A woman is suing Yigazu Wellness Clinic S.C., which does business as Family Health Center, for alleged negligence.
The plaintiff filed a complaint on Nov. 2 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging the defendants allowed a medical assistant to touch her body without consent.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges the male medical assistant fondled her left and right breast during a purported exam without her physician present. According to the lawsuit, the assistant was suspended from working at the practice after the plaintiff reported the incident.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount greater than $50,000 plus court costs. She is represented by Marc E. McCallister of McCallister Law Group LLC in Chicago.
