Park View Rehab Center, others allegedly failed to timely detect symptoms of pneumonia

CHICAGO — An estate administrator is suing Park View Rehab Center, Premier Healthcare & Financial Services Inc. and two nurses for alleged negligence.

Mark Girgsby, independent administrator of the estate of Arthur McClendon, filed a complaint on Nov. 7 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging McClendon developed pneumonia, which allegedly contributed to the deterioration of is overall health while in the defendants' care. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to recognize the signs of infection in McClendon and provide the necessary treatment for his pneumonia.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount that exceeds the jurisdictional limits of this court. He is represented by Jacqueline Kanter of Kralovec, Jambois & Schwartz in Chicago.
