Midwest Center for Day Surgery LLC, others allegedly failed to properly perform a colonoscopy, endoscopy

CHICAGO — A man is suing Dr. James R. Clark, Midwest Center for Day Surgery LLC, Midwest Day Surgery LLC, Midwest Surgical Management Group LLC, Midwest Center for Day Surgery Inc. and Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital for alleged negligence.

Peter Pfeiffer filed a complaint on Nov. 7 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging that the defendants failed to provide him with proper medical care.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges suffered injuries to his GI tract, including mechanical trauma to his pancreas. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to exercise proper care while performing a colonoscopy and endoscopy on him, which allegedly caused injuries, including pressure trauma to his pancreas.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount greater than $50,000. He is represented by John J. Simonetti of Marino & Simonetti in Chicago.
