Parkview Orthopaedic, doctor allegedly failed to provide proper medical care

CHICAGO — A woman is suing Dr. Anis Mekhail and Parkview Orthopaedic for allegedly taking insufficient measures to prevent injuries.

Susan Swaw, special administrator of the estate of Richard Swaw, filed a complaint on Nov. 7 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging Richard Swaw developed post surgical dura leaks and an infection which contributed to the deterioration of his overall health. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to recognize the post surgical sepsis and meningitis in Swaw and transfer him for treatment.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount greater than $50,000 plus court costs. She is represented by Todd D. Carcelli Esq. in Chicago.
