Rush University Medical Center, others allegedly failed to prevent newborn's brain damage

CHICAGO — A man is suing Dr. Xavier F. Pombar, Women's Health Consultant S.C. and Rush University Medical Center for alleged negligence.

Kyle Braun, father and next friend of an infant boy, filed a complaint on Nov. 13 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging the infant suffered acidosis as a result of allegedly not being delivered via cesarean section in a timely manner. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to timely deliver the infant to prevent neurological brain damage.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount greater than $50,000 plus court costs. He is represented by Kurt D. Lloyd of Lloyd Law Group Ltd in Chicago.
