CHICAGO — A woman is suing Northwestern Medical Group, Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago, Lurie Children's Medical Group LLC and Northwestern Pediatric Faculty Foundation for allegedly taking insufficient measures to prevent injuries.
Imelda Madrigal, administrator of the estate of Isabella Madrigal, filed a complaint on Nov. 13 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging that Madrigal suffered a colon perforation that allegedly was not treated properly. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly giving Madrigal four times the normal dose of morphine due to not properly diagnosing her condition.
The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount greater than $50,000 plus court cost. She is represented by Albert Brooks Friedman of Albert Brooks Friedman Ltd. in Chicago, James J. Lessmeister of Lessmeister & Associates in Chicago and Robert M. Romero of Robert M. Romero PC in Naperville.
