CHICAGO — Patrons are suing The Hangge Up Bar, Lodge Management Corporation, Elm Apartments LLC, associated corporate entities and unidentified Hangge-Uppe bouncers, alleging they were the victims of battery and excessive force at the bar.

Quinn Baker and Robert Baker filed a complaint on Nov. 20 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants alleging on Jan. 6, 2017, one of the men was struck in the face and dropped on the ground when he tried to stop a bouncer from removing one of his friends from the premises. The plaintiffs allege The Hangge-Uppe failed to properly train their employees and supervise them while performing their duties to prevent them from harming their customers.

The plaintiffs seek judgment against the defendant in an amount greater than $50,000 plus court costs. They are represented by Colin J. O'Malley and Louis A. Cairo of Goldberg Weisman Cairo in Chicago.
