CHICAGO — A woman is suing Dr. Lolita Smith, Advocate Medical Group and a physician assistant for allegedly taking insufficient measures to prevent injuries.
Sibyl Mendenhall, guardian of the estate of Finola Burrell, filed a complaint on Nov. 20 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging the defendants failed to properly diagnose Burrell's condition, causing her to sustain serious physical injuries and to eventually become permanently disabled.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount that exceeds the jurisdictional limits of this court plus court costs. She is represented by Adria E. Mossing of Mossing & Navarre LLC in Chicago.
