Man accused of posting explicit photographs of ex-girlfriend on Craigslist without permission

CHICAGO — An individual is suing Michael Volk for alleged defamation, intentional infliction of emotional distress and invasion of privacy.

The unnamed plaintiff filed a complaint on Nov. 27 in the Cook County Circuit Court, alleging that the defendant posted explicit photographs of her in order to defame her.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she experienced emotional distress and damage to her reputation when an advertisement on Craigslist.com contained photos of her wearing lingerie and stated that she was looking for sex and drugs. The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible for allegedly posting her private photos on the internet.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant for compensatory damages in an amount that exceeds $50,000, punitive damages, interest, court costs and any further relief this court grants. She is represented by Robert J. Shelist of Law Offices of Robert J. Shelist P.C. in Chicago.
