CHICAGO — A woman is suing Dr. Alissa Carlson, Dr. Kate McKenney, Erie Family Health Center Inc., the McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University, Dr. Adria Mora and Northwestern Memorial Hospital for allegedly taking insufficient measures to prevent injuries.
Erica Santiago filed a complaint on Nov. 30 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging she experienced abdominal pain that was left untreated because her condition was not properly diagnosed. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to consider that an infection was causing her abdominal complaints.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount that exceeds the minimum jurisdictional requirements of this court. She is represented by David J. Rashid of Burke Wise Morrissey & Kaveny LLC in Chicago.
