CHICAGO — A hospital is suing Dr. C. Sekhar Sompalli and Elite Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine LLC for alleged breach of contract.
Saint Anthony Hospital filed a complaint on Nov. 30 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging the defendants failed to fulfill all their obligations to the hospital.
According to the complaint, the hospital alleges Sompalli limited his emergency orthopedic services to only three conditions and alleges the doctor did not take 20 on-call shifts per month or participate in value analysis and supply chain management activities, as allegedly required under his agreement with the plaintiff.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount greater than $50,000 plus interest, court costs and any further relief this court grants.
