Westchester Health & Rehabilitation Center, others sued for patient's ulcers, wrongful death

CHICAGO — An estate administrator is suing Westchester Health & Rehabilitation Center, SSC Westchester Operating Company LLC and SSC Westchester Operating Company LLC for allegedly taking insufficient measures to prevent injuries and wrongful death.

Monica Richmond, special administrator of the estate of Thomas Armstrong, filed a complaint on Nov. 30 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging Armstrong developed pressure and sacral ulcers, which allegedly contributed to the deterioration of his health while in the defendants' care, contributing to his death. 

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount greater than $50,000. She is represented by Molly L. Condon of Hurley, McKenna & Mertz P.C. in Chicago.
