CHICAGO — A man is suing Dawid Metel and Gala Banquets in a complaint in which he alleges assault, battery and negligence.

Przemyslaw Szydlowski filed a complaint on Nov. 29 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging Metel stabbed him multiple times outside Gala Banquets in Chicago on July 22, after Metel allegedly accused him of "hitting on" Metel's wife in the parking lot.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges Gala Banquets should also be held responsible for contributing to Metel's alleged actions because it allegedly provided alcohol to Metel that night.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount greater than $50,000 plus court costs. He is represented by Ivo Tchernev of Law Offices of Jacobson and Tchernev Ltd. in Chicago.
