CHICAGO — A man is suing Stuart A. Petersen, an attorney, for alleged breach of contract and legal malpractice.

Thomas M. Cicinelli filed a complaint on Jan. 3 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging he sustained hundreds of thousands of dollars in financial damages when he allegedly was forced into bankruptcy as a result of the defendant's alleged failure to properly handle the dissolution of his marriage.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant and any further relief this court grants. He is represented by Thomas W. Gooch III of The Gooch Firm in Wauconda.
