CHICAGO — A man is suing Corett LLC, Corett LLC 2961 Nelson Series and Corett Builders Corporation for allegedly taking insufficient measures to prevent injuries.

Wojciech Mordarski filed a complaint on Feb. 21 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging that the defendants failed to provide him with a reasonably safe work environment.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges he sustained physical injuries on Sept. 24, 2016, when one of the legs of the ladder that he was using allegedly fell into an open HVAC duct that was allegedly covered "by hardwood floor protection 'paper.'" The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to warn him about the open HVAC floor duct.
