CHICAGO — A former patient is suing Dr. Vytas Saulis, Emergency Healthcare Physicians Ltd., Adventist LaGrange Memorial Hospital, Dr. Frederick Tiesenga and Tiesenga Surgical Associates SC, citing alleged negligence.
Angelique Springer filed a complaint on April 17 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging she suffered injuries of on Nov. 5, 2013 when the defendants allegedly failed to obtain a surgical consult and CT scan for her, determine that she was suffering from a gastric obstruction, properly reposition her lap band and then allegedly sent her home when it allegedly was dangerous to do so.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount greater than $50,000. She is represented by Michael T. Gill of Pfaff, Gill & Ports Ltd. in Chicago.
