CHICAGO — A woman is suing Franciscan Health Chicago Heights for alleged medical negligence.

Milika Milton filed a complaint on April 18 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging the defendants left a surgical instrument in her abdominal pelvic cavity while she was undergoing a procedure. The plaintiff claims the instrument caused her to develop severe injuries.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks $50,000 judgment, which she claims will fairly compensate her for the injuries that she allegedly sustained. She is represented by Mark A. Brown of Lane & Lane LLC in Chicago.
