Medical malpractice 06

CHICAGO — An estate representative is suing Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital, Dr. Bruce Donenberg, Dr. Eileen Margaret Walls-Collins, a nurse and several other health care providers, citing alleged breach of duty and medical negligence.

Maureen Brenk, personal representative of the estate of Roberta Enyart, filed a complaint on April 26 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging Enyart did not receive proper care when she went to Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital on Oct. 25, complaining of weakness and fatigue. It allegedly was later revealed that Enyart's potassium level was critically low, and she was admitted to to the hospital. Enyart allegedly died later that day.

The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to recognize and timely treat Enyart's hypokalemia upon being admitted to Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital.
