CHICAGO — A company is suing Jerry Stein, a former employee, for alleged breach of fiduciary duty, conversion, retaliation, trademark infringement, tortious interference and unjust enrichment.

Information Controls Inc. filed a complaint on May 2 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging it has suffered damages to its business and reputation because the defendant allegedly confused third parties into believing they were doing business with the plaintiff by using the same brand name. The plaintiff further alleges the defendant was overpaid and competed against it while he was still its employee.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant for damages, plus costs and any further relief the court deems just. The plaintiff is represented by Daniel E. Tranen, Lisa Handler Ackerman and Alexander L. Reich of Wilson, Elser, Moskowitz, Edelman & Dicker LLP in Chicago.
