CHICAGO — A woman is suing Dr. John E. Pantano, Dr. Barry M. Glick, Dr. Gopal Rao, Elk Grove Medical Associates LLC and Alexian Brothers Medical Center for alleged negligence.
Debra MacKenna, independent executor of the estate of Diana Ursitti, filed a complaint on April 30 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging Ursitti saw the defendants numerous times for problems with her lung, but the defendants allegedly failed to rule out cancer as the source of her ailment. The plaintiff claims that Ursitti was later diagnosed with lung cancer and eventually died.
The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to properly assess changes in Ursitti's medical condition and timely diagnose her with lung cancer.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment in an amount that exceeds the jurisdictional limits of the court, plus the costs of the lawsuit. She is represented by Raymond & Raymond LTD in Schaumburg.
