Northwestern Memorial Hospital allegedly failed to properly perform surgery and treat cardiac arrest

CHICAGO — A man is suing Northwestern Memorial Hospital for alleged medical negligence.

Gregory Brooks, special administrator of the estate of Cheryll Brooks, filed a complaint on May 2 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging Cheryll Brooks suffered cardiac arrest and died while she was undergoing a surgical procedure to remove a tumor at the defendant's facility.

The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible for allegedly failing to properly perform the surgical procedure and adequately respond to Cheryll Brooks' cardiac arrest.
