CHICAGO — A woman is suing Blue Island Hospital Company LLC, MetroSouth Medical Center, Villa Healthcare Management Inc. and several other medical providers, citing alleged breach of duty and negligence.
Maureen Buza filed a complaint on May 3 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging the defendants failed to prevent her from developing a post-operative infection. As a result, the plaintiff claims that she had to spend money on additional medical care and attention.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment in an amount that exceeds the jurisdictional limits of the court, plus attorney's fees and costs. She is represented by Ian R. Alexander of Goldberg & Goldberg in Chicago.
