CHICAGO — A company is suing its former employees and their new employer, citing alleged breach of employment contracts and the misappropriation of trade secrets.
Lighthouse Restorations Inc. filed a complaint on May 7 in Cook County Circuit Court against ASI Construction, Anthony Genardo, Michael Degregorio, Peter Nigro, Clancy Presler and Jay Andreas, alleging the defendants breached their employment agreement by using confidential trade secrets to improperly solicit and interfere with Lighthouse's customers and sales leads.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges the defendants quit their jobs and started working as sales representatives for ASI. The plaintiff claims the defendants changed their passwords on their company email accounts before they left, which allegedly prevented the plaintiff from following up on sales leads. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly improperly contacting sales leads in an effort to secure contracts on behalf of their new employer.
