Club One accused of negligence after patron allegedly was shot

CHICAGO — A man is suing Club One, Mucho Gusto LLC, Chicago Road Corporation, Robert Terzich and the village of Dolton for alleged breach of duty and negligence.

Samuel Kirk filed a complaint on May 10 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging an unknown assailant shot him while he was at the club. As a result, the plaintiff claims he suffered physical injuries and had to pay medical expenses. 

The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to provide adequate security, properly supervise their guests and allowed multiple people with firearms to enter the club.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment in an amount greater than $50,000, plus costs. He is represented by Ben Crane and Ervin B. Nevitt of Coplan & Crane Ltd. in Oak Park.
