CHICAGO — A woman is suing a lawyer for alleged breach of duty and legal malpractice.

Janice Johansson filed a complaint on May 8 in Cook County Circuit Court against Steven E. Glink, alleging the defendant failed to provide her with proper legal services.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges she retained the defendant to represent her in an attempt to challenge the Naperville School District's decision to terminate her employment. The plaintiff claims she gave the defendant thousands of pages of documents related to her job to use as evidence at a hearing. However, the attorney allegedly just submitted 13 documents as evidence.

The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible for allegedly failing to present enough evidence at the hearing, which allegedly resulted in an unfavorable decision for the plaintiff.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment in an amount greater than $600,000, plus fees, costs and any other relief that the court deems just. She is represented by attorney Steven H. Mora, of Chicago.
