Northwestern Memorial Hospital allegedly failed to prevent nerve damage during knee replacement surgery

CHICAGO — A man is suing Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Dr. John Hefferson and Dr. Jill Lasson for alleged negligence.

Donald J. McKee filed a complaint on May 11 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging the defendants damaged one of his nerves while they were performing a knee replacement procedure on him. As a result, the plaintiff claims that he suffered personal, permanent and pecuniary injuries. 

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants for damages of more than $50,000, plus costs. He is represented by Timothy P. Rhatigan of Rhatigan Law Offices LLC in Chicago.
