CHICAGO — A man is suing Yaroslav Kot, Skyhouse Developers Inc., City West Properties Inc. and 2426 W. Ohio Inc. for alleged negligence.
Todd Bernstein filed a complaint on May 11 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging he suffered serious and permanent injuries after he fell down a stairway on the defendants' property. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to carry out reasonable inspections of the stairway, properly maintain lighting around the stairway and correct a tripping/falling hazard on the stairway.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants for compensatory damages, the costs of the suit and any further relief. He is represented by Howard H. Ankin of Ankin Law Office LLC in Chicago.
